Zeiss Z-M42-I lenses are optically identical to the ZS series lenses and feature locking focus and aperture rings. The position of the scale for aperture and focus is not defined (not always at 0-degrees). The gap between the mount and rear lens can be wider than with F-mount type lenses, therefore it is necessary to protect the rear lens from dust.
